Join the Flash Mob on Canada Day with CJMP

The Powell River Parks, Recreation and Culture Department and CJMP will be hosting the Canada Day Celebrations event down at Willingdon Beach on Friday, July 1st, 2011.

The theme of this years Canada day celebration is – “Canadians have heart – come catch the beat” A special part of the evening activities will be the first ever “flash mob” event to happen in Powell River around this theme. To make this happen we need the help of volunteers to create the outline a huge heart out on the field in front of the rotary stage. The volunteers will need to wear a red shirt/coat or hat to help give the effect. We will also give them candles and a Canadian flag. The flash mob will be filmed from an over head lift so the effect of creating the heart can be seen and then posted on Youtube.

The event starts at 6:00 PM with the flash mob happening at approximately 7:20pm. The volunteers will need to be at the Willingdon beach band stand ready for instructions and a quick walk through at 5:45 PM sharp. Please sign up and be a part to make this special event happen.

The night will prove to be a wonderful way to see and appreciate the heart of Canadians and it will be a very impressive promotion for CJMP. We also need Volunteers to wo/man CJMP table and sale tickets for Naomi/Avi Fundraiser. Again, volunteers are asked to wear red and also participate in the flash mob. Thanks
