Come-as-you-would’ve: The Second Annual People’s Prom
As our lovely posters say: The People’s Prom is coming our way on Friday February 10 at 8PM at the Cranberry Community Hall. It’s our second annual Member and Volunteer Appreciation event— a Valentine in the shape of a fantastic dance event — and it’s very affordable ($5-$10 sliding scale). Drop by the CranHall (6826 Cranberry Street) on the 10th, renew your membership, enjoy the great music by five of our own CJMP DJs, enjoy some fizzy pink wine, dress up, dress down, make this the kind of prom you always wish you had. It’s a come-as-you-would’ve (if you could’ve) event!
Our POM-POM team could use your help to make this another fantastic success!
(Please read over the list below and click here to contact our POM-POM team, or just leave a comment below this post, or attend the special planning meeting for this event on Wednesday, Feb. 01, 5:30 at A Step Above (upstairs at Quality Foods, Crossroads Village Mall, Powell River)
Volunteers for the door, which will include tickets, memberships and t-shirt sales
Someone to man the photo booth. We have the equipment so this would include setting up (with assistance) the backdrop for the photo booth, being at the booth for the evening taking the digital photo’s and printing them.
We will cover costs and supply the equipment but we need a photographer/printer!
That’s how we roll.
Donations of *Make up, hairspray, clips, crimpers, bobby pins, blow dryer, mirrors, masks, silly hats/glasses, prom type accessories, dress up paraphernalia etc for the ‘Hair Do’s and Don’ts’ booth.
Donations of dips and bites for the complimentary snack table. Hummus, salsa, guacamole, crackers, etc.
Volunteers for set up and more importantly BREAK DOWN. We’ll be setting up at 3pm on the day of and hopefully completing some clean up that night, but we will need to come back the next morning to finish up and will need happy helpers.
The final planning meeting for the Prom will be on Wednesday, Feb. 01, 5:30 at A Step Above (upstairs at Quality Foods, Crossroads Village Mall, Powell River )
