The Tony Colton Show Starring Nicholas Simons is an hour-long show where politics finally meets ornithology, opera, water conservation and tips for good posture. We’ll play music, interview interesting guests and really talk about the weather. Join us on what we hope to be a regular and timeless journey.
The Tony Colton Show Starring Nicholas Simons Wednesday nights at 7:00.
Radio, that lets you do the dishes.
The Equity Committee of the National Community Radio Association has decided to air their monthly Reading Group discussions to encourage participation and to help broaden the conversation.
Each month, a member offers to host the Reading Group, proposing a selection of equity-related writing and/or audio to review.  CJMP Program Director, Zoë Ludski, hosts this first experimental show today, (October 9th) at 4PM PDT.
Today’s readings are on the theme of NON-DEFENSIVE COMMUNICATION:
First, an interview on Non-Defensive Communication in this August episode of WINGS
Sue Supriano, host of Steppin’ Out of Babylon interviews Sharon Ellison, communications Counselor – website www.pndc.com
This link is to a 2 page pdf with great summery info on Non-Defensive Communication
Finally, a pdf of Ten Principals for approaching social justice issues through the arts. They are from a paper Ludski co-authored about using arts education to teach social justice issues She feels the points are useful in many work environments outside of the classroom. Whether you are working on a documentary, a marathon, an episode, or just thinking about our work in the station, these ten points are good reminders of things to keep in mind or ask yourself throughout the work.
We hope you will join in our discussion today and next month!
