The sustain campaign is on!
Get ready for it… CJMP is pulling out all the stops to see how much sustaining contributions we can gather from our members and others. If you’re a member of the Powell River Community Radio Society, then first of all thank you very much! Secondly, if you’re not already a sustaining member of the PRCRS/CJMP FM, then expect another member to be giving you a friendly phone call to encourage you to become a sustaining member.
And what is a sustaining member, you ask? Well, it’s simply a member who chooses to contribute a small amount each month, as little as $5, to build up a reliable income to help us plan for the future. Like you, we have expenses like rent, phone, internet. So the more we can do to ensure that we can meet our bills every month, the better for us all. You can set up a recurring monthly payment through PayPal which will come from your credit card or your account at any bank or credit union. Once you’ve set it up, that amount will come to CJMP every month and help us keep sounding better and better.
So far, thanks to a fairly small number of wonderful members, we have a regular monthly income of $135. That’s just a little over 1/3 of our rent. We’re hoping that we can find a few more members generous enough to help us cover more of our expenses. So when a fellow member phones you, please consider becoming a sustaining member. It’s easy, it’s secure, and you will feel great knowing that you’re helping to build up Powell River’s community radio station, which is getting better every day.
Not only that, but when you become a sustaining member, you won’t have to worry about renewing your annual membership dues. Once you’ve paid the first $10 through your sustaining membership payments, your membership is renewed.
If you don’t feel like becoming a sustaining member, then you may also want to make a lump-sum donation. Or volunteer. (Boy, do we always need more volunteers!!)
Anyway, thank you for becoming a member. If you’re willing to become a sustaining member, then thank you again.
