Round and Round We Go
Hellooooo Community Radio listeners.
Welcome to 2013.
Today marks the last episode of one of our most beloved and recognized shows, The Training Wheel. The Training Wheel has been on the air for over 2 years and in that time Zoe has had the privilege (?!) of over seeing many of our past and current programmers in their very first experience of being on – air. A big thank you for that! Zoe has also used her show to tirelessly promote local affairs, local culture, and local music. Fear not, This is not the end of Zoe – she has big ideas for a new show so be sure to stay tuned for that!
As for training new programmers, we’re going to be moving to a new format where we’ll be having a monthly training session for anybody interested in hosting a show. We’ll let you know when he hammer out the details. The very first step is having you fill out our show proposal form here http://cjmp.ca/get-a-program/
This weekend also marks our first CJMP fundraiser of the year – one that we’ll be splitting with another community group, the Powell River Friends of the Library. On Saturday January 19th esteemed Vancouver DJ and producer Joseph Martin is going to be throwing down some dance floor bombs at the Marine Inn Lounge. He will be sharing the stage with CJMP’s very own DJ Triple Dub. Tickets are $10 in advance available at Breakwater and Rivercity. This is an EARLY show (8-12) with limited capacity, so get your tickets and be there early. Also, wear your dancing shoes. Facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/341056285992986/
Lastly, there will be a programmers meeting January 26th at 4pm – details TBA.
